Work in progress: Price Street Subiaco brochure.

This is a really interesting project in Subiaco with impressive sustainability, art and heritage preservation credentials. Built on the old Australian Fine China site, the building is the future of urban living, designed by the who’s who of up and coming designers and creatives to deliver a 100% electric carbon neutral address that entwines with the local neighbourhood.

Brochure and initial marketing copy is in the works, but I thought I’d share the foreword as it captures the vision nicely.

At ADC_, we’re always looking for development opportunities that allow us to offer buyers products with a strong point of difference in the marketplace. To pay tribute to the stories that came before, deepen connections with our surrounds, and to bring the community along on that journey. First and foremost, it has to be truly unique – and Price Street Subiaco is no exception.

Located on the old Australian Fine China site in what is essentially a modern ruin of heritage ceramics kilns, it is the last vestige of the beloved suburb’s rich industrial past, itself a footnote to a long indigenous cultural history stretching back thousands of years, passed down through many hands. Now immersed amidst shady parkland in a mature, lovingly worn-in neighbourhood, a rare opportunity lay in wait for a highly considered, deeply respectful vision that not only celebrated its handcrafted past, but lived and breathed it.

Price Street Subiaco is one of the most collaborative projects we’ve ever worked on. It has taken an energetic confluence of some of the country’s most cutting-edge creatives, designers and heritage specialists, already with several joint collabs under their belts, who pushed each other in robust round tables and heated thought exchanges, ultimately bearing a shared commitment to celebrate heritage, nature, and art in a manner that is arguably unprecedented in Perth, and certainly Subiaco.

As the vision slowly revealed itself, what was once an overwhelming feeling of something quite special in the making is now unequivocally a reality. This is not what WA is accustomed to in high-end luxury apartment living, yet it is undoubtedly its future. Thoughtful, timeless, sophisticated, authentic, Price Street Subiaco’s proud identity and market-leading sustainable principles are not glazed over but baked in from the beginning. In doing so, it throws out the rulebook for what it means to live in style and comfort, inviting complete buy-in from those who yearn for a world free of both excess and compromise. Nature, community, clear conscience luxury.
